That cabinet wasn't for using, its just for looking at.

You should find out more about who installed those cabinets. Potentially could have them cover the cost of repairs.

If it happens to 1, it’ll happen to the rest…. So check all other cabinets too

When 'newly renovated' appears in the first sentence of the listing.

Oh man.  Send him this pic and call him a bad word.

Also a great way to find out what your coverages/deductibles are on your homeowners policy and how big your no claims discount is.

This is one of those times you just sigh and look at the mess in sad desperation for like a good 45 seconds before you actually do anything about it

I'm so sorry for your loss

Love the balatro fridge magnets

Previous owners of my house hired the dumbest people to get house prepped for sale. We had to put in offer literally while we were looking at the house and inspector also missed a shit ton of problems. These people did more damage trying to cover up issues and make things look decent. If they had not done anything I would’ve been happier cause undoing there shit and fixing it right has cost me a lot of money and time compared to just seeing the issues and dealing with them.

It never stud a chance, tbh

kind of everyone's fear

This happen to me too, with my spouse and our cat standing under the cabinet when it fell. Thankfully they were both mostly okay. Minor injury for spouse. It was also a rental and renter's insurance did nothing. Expect your claim to be denied.

We had to go back to the contractor the complex used to get reimbursed for the broken dishes and the brief hospital visit.

They didnt mount one of the mirrors in my bathroom properly. It came down. It sounded like a train going through a glass building. There were thousands of shards everywhere. I am so happy I wasn't in there when it happened or my blood thinner filled body would have died.

Shit like this is not ok. People are going to die because some dumbass decided to cut corners

Your house was flipped! You have other fun stuff to find as well .... I guarantee it!

*TIMBER*

There was a crack in the wall, in our apartment, and we had no idea.
I was putting dishes away, and opened the door, only to have an entire cabinet detach from the wall.
I got lucky, our dishes got lucky... But then we had a massive empty spot on the wall, with the crack visible.

Oh hey this happened to me recently. Except the prior owner hung it 15 years ago. The one screw in the stud did a truly heroic job until I finally opened the door one time too many and it promptly fell on me.

"Mildly"

No, this is wildly.

bro, this is so fucking annoying. You know a lot of dinner plates and cutlery sets and glassware goes out of print? you can’t just go back to the store and go buy another set. That shit’s been long gone.

I’ve had my plates for over a decade and every once in a while they’ll break and it’s infuriating because it’s a part of a collection

At least the Balatro magnets are safe!
